This is the third edition of the European Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation organizes in cooperation with the work teams of the different specialties which conform the Association: epidemiology, cardiovascular prevention, heart rehabilitation, biodynamics physiology, sports medicine and experimental cardiology. This time the site selected has been Madrid, where EuroPrevent 2007 will be held. Our city is considered very appealing for all kinds of tourism with a very wide scope of possibilities, its strategic geographic location in Europe as well as the excellent communication means, not only with the rest of Europe but with the whole world. Madrid is the perfect city for all sorts of scientific and cultural meetings, with the infrastructure and facilities for the organization of these events. The scientific programme has been carefully devised to make it interesting and attractive enough, with speakers considered to be the best experts in cardiovascular prevention. Three days to exchange experiences, upgrading of skills and knowledge, and what is more important the planning and administering of strategies and of the required treatments, in order to achieve the best cardiovascular future for our patients and the rest of the population. All the members of the organizing committee are pleased to invite cardiologists, doctors specialized and interested in cardiovascular prevention, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, and others, to actively engage in the congress, and send their papers on research works, experiences and studies. Our goal is to make this meeting is a big success, due to the very attractive scientific programme, the rich cultural heritage of the hosting city and the famous hospitality of the inhabitants.
